Due to the recent deterioration and damage to the Ngawun River embankment, local communities in the Ayeyarwady Region have been severely affected by flooding. From 10 to 12 August 2026, we personally visited the affected areas to provide timely support and assistance to the local communities.

Relief assistance was provided to flood-affected residents of Yenauk Village in Aithapyu Village Tract, Laymyethna Township, as well as communities in Mayan Inn, Thayaphyukyin, Letkarin Village Tract, Letthama Village, Dotaungku, Bodhikone, Htaunggyi Village, Htawlar Village, Alay Yoe, Kyunbadut, Ye Kyi Area, Saphyu Su, and Letthama Bamar Village.

In total, more than 4,500 flood-affected people received timely assistance, including essential food supplies, necessary medicines, and emergency relief items, to help meet their immediate needs during this difficult time.
